AMERICUS, Ga. -- Coach Barber and 16 newcomers step into their first season as Hurricanes together. Coach Barber steps into his first season with the Hurricanes after previously serving as the associate head men's soccer coach at Gardner-Webb University. In 2022 Barber was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Coach of the Year after leading Milligan (NAIA) to a record of 10-3-7 and advancing to the first round of the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Tournament. Barber also has Division I experience with being an assistant coach at Georgia Southern University and Temple University.
The 16 newcomers will help Coach Barber continue to build off his successes and allow Georgia Southwestern to compete for many post-season appearances.
