AMERICUS, Ga. – Georgia Southwestern and Florida Southern played to a two-all draw on Saturday evening at Hurricane Field.
The Hurricanes struck first in the 15th minute when
Cesar Rubio-Amaya converted a penalty kick. The Moccasins answered six minutes later with a penalty kick goal from Hector Oliver. In the second half, Darcy Moffat gave Florida Southern the lead in the 67th minute, but GSW leveled the match in the 85th minute on a goal from
Jonathan Bedard assisted by
Daniel Romero-Ramos.
GSW outshot Florida Southern 15-9 and held a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.
Noah Kasin finished with one save in goal for the Hurricanes.
