AMERICUS, Ga. – The Georgia Southwestern State University men's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw against 24th-ranked Flagler College on Wednesday evening at Hurricane Field.
After a scoreless first half, the Hurricanes broke through quickly when Axel-Ambroise Gravel set up Cesar Rubio-Amaya for the opening goal in the 48th minute. Gravel provided his second assist of the night seven minutes later, finding Dante Johnson, who scored his first goal of the season to give GSW a two-goal advantage.
Flagler responded late in the second half with goals from Gustav Moberg in the 81st minute and Luke Williams in the 83rd to even the match.
GSW finished with 14 shots, including 12 on goal, while Flagler recorded 18 shots with eight on target. Hurricane goalkeeper Noah Kasin collected six saves.
