AMERICUS, Ga. - The Georgia Southwestern State University men's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw against USC Aiken Saturday evening at Hurricane Field in Peach Belt Conference play.
After a scoreless first half, USC Aiken opened the scoring early in the second, but the Hurricanes answered midway through the half when Jose Monteagudo scored his first goal of the season off an assist from Cesar Rubio-Amaya. Despite being down a man for the final ten minutes, GSW held firm defensively to secure the result.
Goalkeeper Nathan Grady made four saves, and the Hurricanes outshot the Pacers 12–8 while maintaining solid control of possession throughout the match.
