MORROW, Ga. — The Georgia Southwestern State University men's soccer team's regular season ended with a highlight-reel moment on Saturday afternoon as senior forward Cesar Rubio-Amaya delivered a spectacular bicycle-kick equalizer in the 87th minute, helping the Hurricanes earn a 3-3 draw at Clayton State.

The result locked GSW (4-6-5, 3-5-4 PBC) into the No. 5 seed for next week's Peach Belt Conference Tournament — and fittingly, the Hurricanes will return to Morrow on Saturday to face the same Lakers squad in the quarterfinals.

GSW came out sharp in the first half, building a two-goal advantage before the break. Axel-Ambroise Gravel opened the scoring just four minutes in, finishing off a low cross from Rubio-Amaya from the near side of the box. The duo swapped roles later in the half when Gravel's persistence in traffic set up Jonathan Bedard to make it 2–0 in the 32nd minute.

Clayton State stormed back after halftime, scoring three times in a 12-minute stretch to seize a 3-2 lead. The Lakers appeared on the verge of a comeback win until Rubio-Amaya — who finished the regular season as the Peach Belt's scoring leader with 10 goals — stunned the home crowd. The senior forward launched into a bicycle kick off a header from Bedard, sending the ball into the top left corner, past the keeper and salvaging a well-earned point for the Hurricanes.

Nathan Grady recorded six saves in goal for GSW, while the Hurricanes were efficient on the attack with six shots on target. The draw also marked a significant turnaround for the Blue and Gold, who had fallen 4-0 to Clayton State earlier in the year.

Georgia Southwestern will now shift its focus to the postseason, traveling back to Laker Field on Saturday for the Peach Belt Conference quarterfinal matchup against Clayton State. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
