The Georgia Southwestern tennis teams were swept by Francis
Marion on Saturday afternoon at the Kassab Courts.

The Georgia Southwestern women's tennis team fell to No. 4
Francis Marion, 8-1, in a PBC matchup at the Kassab Courts on
Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Hurricanes (4-9, 0-7 PBC) managed only two games in
doubles action, falling behind 3-0 heading into singles play.
Southwestern's lone win came at No. 6 singles where Katie
Adamson defeated Karine Augur, 6-1, 6-1.
At No. 1 singles, Leady Cuellar pushed 6th-ranked Tereza
Sykorova 6-4 in the first set before dropping the second, 6-0.
Of the Lady 'Canes nine losses this spring, six have come at the
hands of nationally-ranked opponents.
Southwestern is back in action on Sunday (3/14) with an 11 a.m.
match at UNC Pembroke.

Francis Marion, 9-0, in a PBC matchup at the Kassab Courts on
Saturday afternoon.
The Hurricanes (3-7, 0-5 PBC) fell behind 3-0 after doubles
action, and dropped all six matches on the singles side.
GSW's best showing came at No. 5 singles where Rashad Carson
dropped a tiebreaker (10-7) to decide the match against Tanguy
Montoisy, 0-6, 6-0, 10-7.
Of the 'Canes seven losses this spring, five have come at the
hands of nationally-ranked opponents.
Southwestern returns home for a 1 p.m. match on Thursday (3/18)
against Young Harris.
