Robyn Bales enters her third season as an assistant softball coach at Georgia Southwestern State University in 2027.
Bales works primarily with the Hurricanes' pitching staff while assisting with recruiting and player development.
Since arriving in Americus, Bales has helped guide the Hurricanes through the most successful stretch in program history. In her first season on staff, Georgia Southwestern captured its first Peach Belt Conference Tournament championship and earned the program's first NCAA Regional appearance.
Prior to joining the Hurricanes, Bales spent one season as a graduate assistant coach at Cameron University, where she assisted with player development, practice planning and recruiting while completing her graduate studies.
Before transitioning into coaching, Bales enjoyed a standout playing career at Cameron University. She was named the 2023 Lone Star Conference Female Athletic Performance Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the 2023 Lone Star Conference Athletic Performance All-Conference Team.
A native of Oklahoma, Bales earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Cameron University in 2023 before completing her Master of Business Administration in 2025.
As Georgia Southwestern's pitching coach, Bales is committed to developing confident, competitive student-athletes who strive for continuous improvement. She emphasizes leadership, accountability and a strong work ethic while helping her players reach their full potential both on the field and beyond the game.
