AMERICUS, Ga. -Â The Georgia Southwestern State University's women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Valdosta State University on Sunday evening at Hurricane Field.
Offense was hard to come by for both schools as each side was limited to four shots on goal in the match. Valdosta State punched in the lone score on a breakaway at the start of the 24th minute off a long lead pass down the middle of the field that got over the top of the GSW defense.Â
Valdosta State held possession for 55 percent of the match and finished with one more corner kick, 5-4.Â
