AMERICUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern State University freshman Cooper Watson, junior Madison Banks and senior Ashlyn Rogers have received 2025 All-Peach Belt Conference softball honors as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. Watson earned first team distinction as designated player, while Banks and Rogers were named to the 16-player second team that was entirely comprised of at-large selections.
Watson was a two-time Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Week award winner this spring. She led the team in batting average (.385), on-base percentage (.504) and slugging percentage (.731). Her OPS (1.235), slugging percentage and on-base percentage all ranked in the top four of the PBC.
Banks led the team in hits (48) and ranked second in batting average (.350) and stolen bases (13).
Rogers led GSW in home runs (11), runs batted in (47), runs scored (44) and walks (26). She ranked second on the team in doubles (10) and slugging percentage (.660). Rogers had 15 multi-hit games and 13 multi-RBI games, both of which led the team. She ranked fifth in the PBC in walks and seventh in runs and RBIs, while coming in eighth in slugging percentage.
This was the first All-PBC selection for each of the GSW recipients. The Lady Hurricanes have placed at least three on All-PBC teams in three of the last four seasons.
