AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern State University has been selected as the 2024 Peach Belt Conference Women's Tennis Team Sportsmanship Award recipient.

The Peach Belt honors one school annually from each of its 12 team championship sports. This is the third consecutive year GSW women's tennis has received the honor and the first under head coach Karlie Levering. The GSW Athletic Department has won a total of 23 team sportsmanship awards.

Started in 2008, the program presents an award following each championship season to the team in that sport that best exemplifies the spirit of sportsmanship and generally conducts themselves with a high degree of integrity, character and class. The team award is selected by other teams who compete in that sport. Points are awarded based on how each team finished in the voting and in June, the institution with the highest totals will receive the 'PBC Institution of the Year Sportsmanship Award.'

The league's Senior Woman Administrators council oversees the program.
