AMERICUS, Ga.  -- The Georgia Southwestern baseball team gets a share of first place in the Peach Belt Conference defeating Flagler 9-6.

GSW jumped to an early 2-0 lead on a Hunter Foster RBI single and a Garrett Bradley RBI walk.

After a scoreless second and third inning GSW scored another run on a Chris Patterson single and an error committed by Flagler.

Flagler collected three hits and scored three runs tieing the game in the fifth. 

The Saints broke the tie in the top of the sixth on a two-run double that gave Flagler the 5-3 lead.

The Hurricanes struck back as they scored four runs in the sixth inning which started with a Chris Patterson two-run home run, GSW added two more runs on two errors committed by Flagler.

GSW would score two more runs in the seventh thanks to another Flagler error.

Flagler scored a run in the ninth but it was too late for the Saints.

Four GSW batters recorded multiple hits Chris Patterson had a great game he went 3-for-4 with a home run two RBIs and scored two runs.

After the win today GSW will be a host venue for the PBC Baseball tournament if they win tomorrow they will win the PBC outright and enter the tournament as the top seed.

GSW will conclude their series with Flagler tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. from Hurricane Stadium
