AMERICUS, Ga. -- Georgia Southwestern softball swept the three game weekend series defeating Young Harris College 10-2 Saturday afternoon.

Young Harris scored first on a solo shot home run to put the Mountain Lions ahead 1-0 in the top of the second inning.

The Canes answered back in the bottom of the third inning as they grabbed three hits and put up two runs to take the lead 2-1.

GSW added to their lead getting three hits and scoring another two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

In the bottom of the fifth inning GSW broke the game wide open when Katelyn Wood hit a 2-rbi double that brought home two canes GSW never looked back and closed the game winning 10-2.

Savanna Bradford started the game she went the full six innings gave up two runs improving her record to 11-3.

GSW will stay home to take on PBC foe USC Beafort (9-25, 2-13) in a doubleheader 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
