WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The Georgia Southwestern baseball team lost its season opener 2-1 against Palm Beach Atlantic University Friday night. The Hurricanes got into trouble in the third inning after a PBA runner scored on an unfortunate wild pitch error.
The Hurricanes tied the game 1-1 in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly to right field from Jared White.
Later in the inning, PBA would break the tie on a bunt single that scored the runner on base for PBA.
The Hurricanes will stay on the road to take on Lynn University at Bobby Campbell Stadium at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
