AMERICUS – It was another tough day for the Lady Hurricanes in the Peach Belt Conference match up with Montevallo Falcons. The final score 3-0 for the Falcons.
Montevallo freshman Michaela Graber was able to start the scoring at 25:17. The Lady Hurricanes continued to battle; however, Christine Prince was able to find the back of the net before the end of the half.
Paige Scott finished up the scoring for Montevallo in the 58th minute of play.
In the last minutes of the game, sophomore Amber Milner started pressuring the keeper getting two shots off.
Sophomore Kendal Baskin was in the goal for the Lady Hurricanes achieving 18 saves compared Montevallo's one. The Falcons outshot the Lady Hurricanes by 34.
Georgia Southwestern be back to play on Saturday when they host Young Harris on Senior Day and Pink Day at Hurricane Field. The game will start at 1 p.m.
