The Georgia Southwestern women's tennis team picked up
a 5-4 non-conference win against Albany State
University on Monday afternoon at the Susan K. Smith
Tennis Complex.
GSW (5-14 overall) earned wins at No. 1, 3 and 6 singles
and No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
Leady Cuellar and Monica Osam led the Lady Hurricanes with
wins in both singles and doubles play.
In a conference loaded with nationally-ranked teams, Cuellar, a
6-0, 6-0 winner against Diana Chria at No. 1 singles on
Monday, has an 8-6 record in the top position
this season against NCAA opponents.
The Lady 'Canes have three conference
matchups ahead of them this week beginning with
North Georgia at home on April 1st at 2:00 p.m. Southwestern will
then take to the road on April 3rd to play Francis Marion at 2:00
p.m.;followed by an April 4th match at UNC
Pembroke that will start at 11:00 a.m
