                Storm Dome

The Storm Dome at Georgia Southwestern State University opened in November 2005 as part of the $22 million Student Success Center, serving as the home for GSW men’s and women’s basketball, and a variety of campus and community events including graduations and guest lectures. With seating for approximately 3,000, the multi-purpose arena also houses athletic training areas, a fitness center, classrooms, offices, and recreational spaces such as racquetball courts and a rock-climbing wall. In 2021, the facility received significant upgrades with the installation of new LED video displays and scorer’s tables by Daktronics, enhancing the game-day experience. The Storm Dome remains a centerpiece of student life and athletics at Georgia Southwestern, blending academics, recreation, and athletics under one roof.
